Biography
Fireflight, an American Christian rock band, formed in Eustis, Florida, in 1999. The group initially included Glenn Drennen, Wendy Drennen, Justin Cox, Phee Shorb. and Dawn Futch (later known as Dawn Michele). They released their debut album Glam-rök through Eight Track Records in 2002, followed by the EP On the Subject of Moving Forward in 2004. Fireflight signed with Flicker Records and released their major label debut album The Healing Of Harms in 2006, featuring the Number 1 singles "You Decide" and "Waiting". Notable achievements include a Grammy nomination for Best Rock/Rap Gospel Album in 2011 for For Those Who Wait, and their album Now reaching Number 1 on the Contemporary Christian Charts in 2012. The band's lineup has seen changes, with Cox leaving in 2013 but rejoining in 2019, and Shorb departing in 2011 to become a Christian speaker.
