Biography

Per Nils Myrberg, known professionally as Per Myrberg, and born on July 11, 1933, in Stockholm, Sweden, was a singer and actor. He initially aspired to be a jazz musician but enrolled at the Royal Dramatic Training Academy in 1955 and graduated in 1957. His music career began with his single "34:an", a Swedish cover of Stuart Hamblen's hit "This Ole House" which topped Svensktoppen for Number 1 position for 40 weeks straight in 1964. Notable albums include Per Myrbergs Nya LP På Metronome (1965), En Säck Full Med Visor (1970), and Sommarnatt (Per Myrberg Sjunger Taube) (2003). Myrberg received the Litteris et Artibus award in 1988 and died on December 28, 2023.
