Biography
Paul Lamb, born on July 9, 1955, in Blyth, Northumberland, England, is a British blues harmonica player and bandleader. Inspired by Sonny Terry, Lamb began playing the harmonica during his childhood and started performing in clubs at the age of 15. He initially played only acoustic blues until around 1980, collaborating with notable figures such as Buddy Guy, Junior Wells, and Brownie McGhee. In the early 1980s, Lamb formed the Blues Burglars with guitarist Johnny Whitehill, which later evolved into Paul Lamb & the King Snakes. Their eponymous album was released in 1990 under Ace Records. In 1994, Lamb achieved chart success with "Harmonica Man" (1994) under the pseudonym Bravado, reaching the UK Singles Chart. He was also notably inducted into the British Blues Awards Hall of Fame.
