Biography

David "Junior" Kimbrough, born on July 28, 1930 in Hudsonville, Mississippi, was an American blues musician. Influenced by his father's guitar playing and musicians like Mississippi Fred McDowell and Eli Green, Kimbrough began playing the guitar in his own distinctive style during the late 1950s. Kimbrough's career gained momentum with the release of his debut album, All Night Long, in 1993. The album featured notable songs like "All Night Long" and "You Better Run". He passed away from a heart attack on January 17, 1998. In 2023, he was inducted into the Blues Hall of Fame.
