Orlando Riva Sound, also known as ORS, is a German disco band formed in 1977 by Anthony Monn and Rainer Pietsch. The group initially featured Wolfgang Emperhoff on vocals, who was later replaced by Sophia Reaney, who contributed both vocals and dance performances. Orlando Riva Sound gained early success with the single "Moon Boots" in 1977, which helped establish their presence in the disco scene. They continued to rise in popularity, participating in the German selection for the Eurovision Song Contest 1979 with the track "Lady, Lady, Lady", which placed 5th and further solidified their reputation. The band's breakthrough came with the release of their album Indian Reservation, which included the hit single of the same name reaching 7th place in Germany in January 1980. This success was followed by another notable track, "Fire on the Water", which peaked at 15th place in July of the same year. Orlando Riva Sound's discography also includes albums like Body to Body Boogie, released in 2013, and O.T.T. (Over The Top), their final album released in 1981, marking the end of their active career as a band. Throughout their career, Orlando Riva Sound was known for their energetic performances and contributions to the disco genre.
