Carol Williams, born in Montclair, New Jersey, United States, is a vocalist and songwriter known for her contributions to disco music. She began her career working with producer Vincent Montana Jr. and the Salsoul Orchestra, releasing her debut single "Rattlesnake" in 1975. Her breakthrough came with the release of "More" (1976), which gained significant popularity as disco entered the mainstream. This success led to her first album, 'Lectric Lady, released on Salsoul Records in 1976, featuring singles such as "Come Back" and "Love is You". Williams left Salsoul Records shortly after and signed with Roy B. Quality Records in 1978, releasing a duet with Tony Valor titled "Love Has Come My Way". In 1982, she achieved R&B chart success with "Can't Get Away (From Your Love)" (1982).
