Biography

Orange, formed in Los Angeles, California in 2002, is an American-British pop-punk band signed with Hellcat/Epitaph Records under Tim Armstrong’s guidance in their teens. The lineup over time has included Joe Dexter on lead vocals and rhythm guitar, James Bull on drums, Billy Wood on bass, and Danny Snow on guitar. The band’s first official recordings were the demo Rock n Roar (2003) and their Hellcat debut Welcome to the World of… (2004). They followed with Escape from LA (2007), Phoenix (2009/2010), and the EP Dead Sexy (2011); these releases were supported by extensive touring alongside acts such as Misfits, Rancid, and Bowling for Soup. The track “Revolution” gained additional exposure as the theme for Cartoon Network’s Generator Rex. Later releases included the single “Late Nights and Early Mornings” and a cover single “I Wish It Could Be Christmas Everyday”. Despite lineup changes, Orange continued performing into the late 2010s and 2020s.
