Biography

Paper Money are a North Jersey pop-rock band made up of vocalist Tim Sussman, guitarist and producer Carlo Colasacco, keyboardist Marco Colasacco, bassist Stephen Lemos and drummer Ryan Harte. The band’s roots go back to high school, when Carlo Colasacco, Marco Colasacco and Stephen Lemos began playing together; Sussman joined in 2006, followed by Harte around the same period. For years, the group recorded and performed as Someone Say Something, playing the Bamboozle main stage, sharing festival bills with My Chemical Romance, Paramore and Boys Like Girls, and logging a heavy live schedule. Carlo Colasacco also built a wider songwriting and production career, with credits including Shinedown’s Billboard Rock Number 1 “State of My Head,” as well as work linked to Skillet, Dashboard Confessional, Jon Bellion, Julia Michaels and Lit. In 2024, the five-piece changed its name to Paper Money and shifted toward a polished, 1990s-influenced pop-rock sound. The band issued “When You Were Young” and “Posty” in 2025, then followed in 2026 with “Pretty Faces,” a nostalgic pop single that peaked at number 40 on Billboard's Radio Pop Songs chart.
