One 2 Many is a Norwegian electronic music band formed in 1988, consisting of Dag Kolsrud on keyboards, Camilla Griehsel as the vocalist, and Jan Gisle Ytterdal on guitar. The group's debut album Mirror was released in 1988 under A&M Records. Their breakthrough came with the single "Downtown", which became a hit across Europe and reached Number 1 in Norway. In May 1989, the song was re-released and peaked at number 43 on the Billboard Hot 100 in the United States, marking their entry into the American market. The original release of "Downtown" in 1988 had already charted at number 65 on the same list, indicating the band's growing international presence. Following the success of Mirror, One 2 Many released three additional singles: "Another Man", "Writing On The Wall" (August 1989), and "Nearly There" (November 1989). However, the band disbanded later that year as their subsequent releases failed to chart, leaving them as a notable one-hit wonder of the 1980s. After One 2 Many's disbandment, Kolsrud joined Guys in Disguise and managed tours for a-ha, contributing to the Norwegian music scene behind the scenes.
