No Sports, a German ska band from Stuttgart, was formed in September 1985 by D. Mark Dollar (Michael Friedrich), Gerald Machner, Wenne, and Flupp (Markus Mayer), who were members of the punk band Abenteuer unter Wasser. Shortly after, Wenne left the band, and T´Schelle joined on drums, with Turbo, Ev, and Klaus on trumpet and saxophone. No Sports released their debut album King Ska in 1989, marking their entry into the ska scene. Throughout their career, they incorporated elements of hip-hop, rap, raggamuffin, and reggae into their music. Their notable songs include "King Kong," "Stay Rude - Stay Rebel," (1990), and "Girlie Girlie" (1994). The band's success led to extensive tours across Europe, including performances at international festivals alongside Laurel Aitken. No Sports initially disbanded in 2002 after a prolific career that saw the release of several albums, including SUCCE$$FOOLS (1991), No Rules (1994), and Riddim Roots Anâ Culture (1998).
