Biography

Skalariak, a ska band from Navarra, Spain, was founded in 1994 by brothers Juantxo Skalari and Peio Skalari. They debuted live on October 20, 1996, in Pamplona. Their first album, Skalariak, was released in 1997 under the label Gor, featuring songs like "Txapeldunak" and "O neure herri". The band embarked on tours across Spain and Europe. In 1999, they released their second album, Klub Ska, which included hits like "Sólo vivir", marking the start of a trilogy that continued with En la Kalle (2001) and Radio Ghetto (2003). The band's music often addressed themes such as multiculturalism, anti-racism, and anti-fascism. They performed extensively across Europe and America until announcing a hiatus in 2008. Skalariak returned for a series of concerts in 2016 after confirming their comeback in November 2015.
