Biography

Daniel W. Jones (performing as “Nickelus F”) is an American hip hop rapper, songwriter, and producer. Born in Portland, Oregon, Jones moved to Richmond, Virginia, where he began his career. In 2000, he placed second in the regional Source Unsigned Hype Emcee Battle and was named “Unsigned Hype” in The Source. Jones served as the champion of BET’s 106 & Park “Freestyle Friday” for seven consecutive weeks in 2007 and was inducted into the BET Hall of Fame. His discography began in 2002 with Anything You Can Do I Can Do Better, followed by Pistols and Teks (2003) and B Stands for Burglars (2004). Later releases include R.A.R.E. (Reliving A Real Experience) (2009) and The Specimen (2023). Jones performed on Drake’s mixtapes Room for Improvement (2006) and Comeback Season (2007). He received the Gold Addy Award for Art Direction and is a member of the Association of Great Minds (AGM).
