Neuronium, a Spanish electronic music group formed in 1976 by Michel Huygen, Carlos Guirao, and Albert Giménez. The band's debut album Quasar 2C361, released in 1977, was recognized as the first "cosmic music" studio album recorded in Spain. Initially a quintet, Neuronium evolved into a trio with Huygen and Guirao on keyboards and synthesizers, alongside guitarist Albert Giménez. Their second album Vuelo QuÃmico was released in 1978 under EMI-Harvest. Following this release, Albert Giménez left the group, and Huygen and Guirao began publishing through their own label, Neuronium Records. Notable albums from this period include Digital Dream (1980), The Visitor (1981), and Chromium Echoes (1982). After Chromium Echoes, Carlos Guirao departed, leaving Michel Huygen as the sole member of Neuronium. Under Huygen's leadership, the group continued to release albums, including Invisible Views (1983), Heritage (1984), and Supranatural (1987). Neuronium's music, described by Huygen as "psychotronic music," blends new age, ambient, and cosmic genres.
