Biography
DFC, also known as Da Funk Clan, was an American hip hop duo from Flint, Michigan. The group consisted of Alpha "Al" Breed and Bobby "T-Dub" Thompson, who were closely associated with MC Breed, Al's cousin. DFC released the single "Ain't No Future In Yo' Frontin'" in 1991, a single from their collaborative debut album MC Breed & DFC with MC Breed. The album charted at number 142 on the Billboard 200. Following this, DFC signed with Atlantic Records and released Things in tha Hood under Big Beat Records in March 1994. This album peaked at number 71 on the Billboard 200 and featured notable singles "Caps Get Peeled" and "Thing in tha Hood". In 1997, they released their third studio album The Whole World's Rotten. DFC disbanded in 1999 after appearing on MC Breed's final album It's All Good.
