Biography

Narcotic Thrust, a British electronic music project, was formed in London by Stuart Crichton and Andy Morris. The duo began their collaboration in the mid-1990s, with Crichton initially gaining recognition for his remixes of various hits, including those for Rozalla and The Grid. Under the name Umboza, Crichton achieved two chart successes before teaming up with Morris to form Narcotic Thrust. Their debut single, "Funky Acid Baby", was released in 1996. Throughout their career, they produced remixes for notable artists such as Apollo 440 and Reel 2 Real. In 2002, the duo created a dance classic with "Safe From Harm", which reached Number one on the US Hot Dance Club Play Charts, featuring Yvonne John Lewis on vocals. Their biggest commercial success came in 2004 with "I Like It", which peaked in the top ten of the UK charts and reached Number sixteen on the US Dance/Club Play Charts, again with Yvonne John Lewis. In 2005, they collaborated with Gary Clark for the single When The Dawn Breaks. Their final release was "Waiting For You" in 2006, once more featuring Yvonne John Lewis. Narcotic Thrust also produced remixes for artists like Cassius and Kylie Minogue.
