Luther Andrews Dickinson, born on January 18, 1973, in Memphis, Tennessee, is an American guitarist and singer. He began his musical career at a young age, playing concerts and gaining recording experience with his father, Jim Dickinson, and brother, Cody. In 1987, Dickinson made his recording debut with a metal-influenced guitar solo on "Shooting Dirty Pool" from the Replacements' album Pleased to Meet Me. He formed the North Mississippi Allstars with his brother Cody in 1996, a band that has been nominated for three Grammy Awards in the Best Contemporary Blues category. Dickinson also joined the Black Crowes in November 2007, contributing to albums like Warpaint and Before the Frost...Until the Freeze. His solo career includes notable releases such as Rock 'n' Roll Blues (2014) and Blues & Ballads: A Folksinger's Songbook Volumes I & II (2016). Dickinson released Dead Blues Volume I on October 17, 2025, which features Datrian Johnson on vocals performing psychedelic blues funk versions of Grateful Dead songs.
