Biography

Loula Yorke is a UK-based composer and sound artist specializing in modular synthesizer. After a successful debut with her debut album YSMYSMYSM released by Detroit's Junted label in 2019, her catalog expands prolifically with, notably, the critically acclaimed album Volta (2024), for the Truxalis label. Between recordings, Loula Yorke creates installations, such as Snow Day and Perception Is a Mutual Embrace, as well as live modular synthesizer performances. She launches a series of monthly mixtapes documenting her ever-evolving creative process in her Cottage Studio, and has built up a loyal following of discerning listeners. In 2025, she released The Book of Commonplace, quickly followed by Time is a Succession of Such Shapes - two albums based on tracks created throughout the project. Other achievements include the albums LDOLS (2019), Florescence (2022), the EP Youl (2022) and the album Hydrology (2025).
