Biography
The Lost Trailers, an American country music band, were formed in 2000 in Atlanta, Georgia. The original lineup included Ryder Lee on lead vocals and keyboards, Manny Medina on guitar, Andrew Nielson on bass guitar, Stokes Nielson on vocals and lead guitar, and Jeff Potter on drums. Their first album, The Story of the New Age Cowboy, was self-released that same year. The band's breakthrough moment came when they performed at a Fourth of July picnic hosted by Willie Nelson in Texas. In 2006, after switching to BNA Records, The Lost Trailers released their self-titled album, which featured the singles "Call Me Crazy" and "Why Me", both of which entered the Billboard Hot Country Songs charts. Their fourth single for BNA, "Holler Back", reached number 9 on the country charts in late 2008. The band was nominated for Top New Vocal Duo or Group and Top Vocal Group at the 2009 Academy of Country Music awards. In May 2010, the band announced their disbandment following their last concerts in September. In 2011, Stokes Nielson re-established The Lost Trailers with Jason Wyatt as lead vocalist. This iteration released "Underdog" (2011), "American Beauty" (2012), "Don't Give Up on Me" (2013), and "Smoke Signals" (2018).
