Pinmonkey was an American country music band formed in 2002 in Nashville, Tennessee. The original lineup featured lead vocalist Michael Reynolds, brothers Michael and Chad Jeffers, and drummer Rick Schell. The ensemble released their debut album, Speak No Evil, on the independent Drifter's Church label before signing with BNA Records later that same year. Their self-titled major label debut featured the single âBarbed Wire and Rosesâ, which reached number 25 on the Billboard Hot Country Songs chart, and a cover of âI Drove All Nightâ. In 2003, the group received a nomination from the Academy of Country Music for Top New Vocal Duo or Group. Following membership changes in 2005 where Mike Crouch replaced Schell and Chad Jeffers left the ensemble, the group released the album Big Shiny Cars in 2006 through Back Porch Records. Pinmonkey became inactive in late 2006. Reynolds returned to the music industry in 2024 with the release of his solo studio album, Tarnished Nickel Sky.
