Biography

American dancer, actress and singer Julianne Hough comes from a family of performers and has always wanted to be on stage. She trained in performing arts in London, initially specialising in dance, with a successful award-winning career which resulted in her being selected as the youngest ever professional dancer on America's 'Dancing With the Stars'. She won the show on two occasions and later became a member of the judging panel. Her music career took off in 2007 with the release of her debut single 'Will You Dance With Me'. This was followed in 2008 with her self-titled debut album 'Julianne Hough' on the Mercury Music label, containing the popular single 'That Song in My Head' (2008). The album reached number one on the American Top Country Albums Chart and number three on the Billboard 200. Her second album 'Sounds of the Season: The Julienne Hough Holiday Collection' followed at the end of 2008. Hough released the single 'Is That So Wrong' in 2009, then spent some time concentrating on her acting career, with performances in the re-release of the film 'Footloose' (2011) and the film version of the musical 'Rock of Ages' (2012). She starred in several TV dramas before returning to music with the release of two singles in 2019: 'Transform' and 'All I Want for Christmas Is Love'.
