Biography
Linear were an American freestyle-pop group founded in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, in 1989. The line-up originally included Charlie Pennachio on lead vocals and songwriting duties, Wyatt Pauley on bass and guitar, Joey Restivo on percussion, Gerald Rappaport on drums, Phil Conneilly on guitar, and Ricki Archer on backup vocals and keyboards. In 1990, Linear released their breakthrough single "Sending All My Love", which reached number five on the Billboard Hot 100 in May of that year. Following its success, they signed with Atlantic Records as a trio. Their self-titled debut album was released in March 1990 and included the hit "Don't You Come Cryin'". The group's second studio album, Caught In The Middle, was released in July 1992. Other notable songs by Linear include "T.L.C.", which reached number 30 on the Billboard Hot 100. Over the course of their career, the line-up shifted several times, with original members Charlie Pennachio and Wyatt Pauley remaining active as a group into the 2020s.
