Biography
David Coles, known professionally as Kyprios, is a Canadian rapper and singer-songwriter. He started his career with the musical collective Sweatshop Union, contributing to their albums until 2008's Water Street. In 2004, he released his debut solo album Say Something..., which was nominated for the Juno Award for Rap Recording of the Year at the 2005 Juno Awards. His song "Ignorance is Beautiful" from this album was also nominated for the Genie Award for Best Achievement in Music â Original Song at the 2005 Genie Awards. In 2010, he notably won CKPK-FM's Peak Performance Project, securing a prize of $100,500. Kyprios continued his solo career with 12:12 (2009) and The Midnight Sun (2014).
