Biography
Klein & M.B.O. was an Italian disco musical group formed in 1977. The group consisted of producers, songwriters, and arrangers Mario Boncaldo from Italy and Tony Carrasco from the United States. Their music, characterized by the use of Roland synthesizers and a TR-808 drum machine, influenced various artists. Klein & M.B.O.'s breakthrough came with their 1982 single "Dirty Talk", which became an international underground success. Other notable singles include "Wonderful" (1982) and "The MBO Theme" (1983). Their debut album, De-Ja-Vu, was released in July and later reissued as First. Notably, the French duo Miss Kittin and The Hacker covered "Dirty Talk" on their 1998 EP Champagne, and the German electropop group Moskwa TV released "Tekno Talk", a near-replica of "Dirty Talk".
