Keith Caputo (born 4 Decemberâ¯1973 in Brooklyn, Newâ¯York) is an American singer who coâfounded the Newâ¯York metal band Lifeâ¯ofâ¯Agony. Lifeâ¯ofâ¯Agony formed in 1989 with Joeyâ¯Z, Alanâ¯Robert, and Salâ¯Abruscato; Riverâ¯Runsâ¯Red arrived in 1993. Keith Caputo left in 1997, then released solo albums Diedâ¯Laughing (1999) and Diedâ¯Laughingâ¯Pure (2001). He rejoined for a 2003 reunion and the 2005 album Brokenâ¯Valley. Between 2006 and 2008, he released Heart'sâ¯Bloodâ¯Onâ¯Yourâ¯Dawn and Aâ¯Fondnessâ¯Forâ¯Hometownâ¯Scars, collaborating with Flea and Withinâ¯Temptation. Lifeâ¯ofâ¯Agony reunited again in 2014, producing Aâ¯Placeâ¯Whereâ¯There'sâ¯Noâ¯Moreâ¯Pain (2017) and Theâ¯Soundâ¯ofâ¯Scars (2019). Keith Caputo, who came out as transgender in 2011 and performed for several years as Mina Caputo, announced in November 2024 a return to using the name Keith Caputo.
