Kaya Brüel, born on August 30, 1972 in Denmark, is a singer and actress. At 18, she signed with Replay Records and released her debut album Kaya in 1991, which sold 80,000 copies. Subsequent albums included The State I'm In (1992) and Sweet Reality (1995). Brüel later released Complex on Thomas Blachmanâs ManRec label in 1999. She contributed vocals to the trance single "Light A Rainbow" by Danish Tukan, which reached number 38 on the English charts in 2001. Her album of children's songs Jeg fandt en sang pÃ¥ vejen (2006) received a gold record for selling 15,000 copies. Brüel has also appeared in various television shows and films, including voicing the fox Rita in Jungledyret Hugo.
