Constantine James Maroulis is an American rock singer born on September 17, 1975, in Brooklyn, New York. Maroulis was the sixth-place finalist on the fourth season of the television series American Idol (2005). As the lead vocalist for the band Pray for the Soul of Betty, he released a self-titled debut album (2005). His debut solo album, Constantine (2007), reached number 75 on the Billboard charts. Maroulis's musical theater career includes starring as Drew in Rock of Ages (2009) and the title roles in Jekyll and Hyde (2013). Recordings include âMy Funny Valentineâ (2005) and a cover of âBohemian Rhapsodyâ (2005) for the album Killer Queen: A Tribute to Queen. Later solo releases include the single âUnchained Melodyâ (2011) and the studio album Until I'm Wanted (2020).
