Jolanda Palma, also known as Jula de Palma, born on April 21, 1931, in Milan, Italy, was an Italian singer. She made her radio debut in 1949 after being discovered by Lelio Luttazzi, initially performing American standards. Her first album, Strettamente Confidenziale - Album N. 1, was released in 1955, followed by a self-titled album in 1956. In 1957, she married composer Carlo Lanzi. De Palma gained significant attention when she performed "Tua" at the Sanremo Music Festival in 1959; however, the song was deemed too sensual and censored by Italian authorities for several years. She released notable albums such as Hello Jula (1965), Whisky E Dixie (1967), and Jula Al Sistina (Dal Viv0) (1970). In 1974, De Palma retired from music and moved to Canada with her family. She made a brief return to Italian television in 2001 and was honored with a lifetime achievement prize at the Italian Jazz Awards in 2010.
