José Nunez, born in the United States of America, emerged as a house music producer and DJ whose early exposure to electronic soundscapes led him to pursue a career in music production. His initial breakthrough arrived in 1998 when the single "In My Life" reached Number one on the US Billboard Hot Dance Music/Club Play chart and entered the UK Singles Chart at Number 56; the followâup "Hold On" peaked at Number nine on the US Dance chart and Number 44 in the UK, both credited to José Nunez featuring Octavia. His collaborations expanded to include Erick Morillo and Harry Choo Choo Romero on the Subliminal label, producing tracks such as "Bilingual" in 2007 featuring Taina and the Top 10 dance hit "CroâMagnon (What About Our Love)" under the moniker Constipated Monkeys.
