Biography

John Creamer & Stephane K is an American electronic music duo based in New York City, formed in 1998. John Creamer, from Philadelphia, began his career as an A&R man before meeting Stephane Kaneda, who had moved to New York via Tokyo and Paris. Both transitioned to house music after frequenting the Sound Factory nightclub. The duo's breakthrough came in 2002 when they were named "Remixers of the Year" by Remix Magazine. Their notable remixes include Kosheen's “Hide U”, which won them Remix of the Year at the 2001 Muzik Awards, topped Billboard's Hot Dance Club Play chart, and entered the UK Top 10. Other significant remixes are Sinéad O'Connor's “Troy” and iiO's “Rapture”. In 2004, they founded NY Love Records. In 2006, they released the single “Something To Lose” with Nadia Ali of iiO and Rosko under Ultra Records.
