Biography
Joel Ma, known professionally as Joelistics, was born in Sydney, Australia. He is a rapper, producer, and multi-instrumentalist. He began his music career playing drums in punk and hardcore bands during his adolescent years. In 2002, after travelling to Melbourne, he formed the hip-hop group TZU with Paso Bionic of Curse Ov Dialect and members of Pan. The group released four studio albums under Liberation Music before disbanding in 2013. Joelistics's solo career began when he signed with Elefant Traks for his debut album Voyager (2011). His second solo album, Blue Volume, was released in 2014. Joelistics produced the title track for Mo'Ju's 2018 album, Native Tongue and released an EP with Mo'Ju titled Ghost Town the following year. In 2023, he released his fourth studio album, Analog Gunk.
