Jonathan Blake Williams Jr., known as Jabee, was born on August 12, 1983, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. He began rapping at age seven and started performing live by ten. His early career involved competing in freestyle cyphers and MC battles under the aliases MC Jabee or Emcee Jabee. In 2006, he released his first EP, Ijuswannamakesomemusic, on Bombcity Records. In 2009, he was signed to Little Mafia Records and released Blood Is the New Black that same year. His album Everything Was Beautiful and Nothing Hurt debuted at number 50 on the iTunes hip-hop charts in 2013. In 2016, Jabee released his debut studio album Black Future under Grand Union Media, featuring guest appearances from Killer Mike, Brother Ali, and Chuck D. In 2014, he earned a regional Emmy for his commercial work.
