Japanese boy band IMP. made their debut at the top of the charts in August, 2023 with their digital single "CRUISIN'" under the TOBE label. Comprising seven members: Kageyama Takuya, Yokohara Yuki, Motoi Shunsuke, Tsubaki Taiga, Suzuki Taiga, Sato Arata, and Matsui Minato, they were formerly known as IMPACTors, a group formed in October 2020 under Johnny's Jr. Rebranding as IMP. when they joined TOBE on July 14, 2023, their debut single quickly gained attention, gaining over two million views on video sharing platforms. Following their debut, they released several singles including âIMP.â and "SWITCHing" which both hit number 2, as well as "I Got It" and âFLOWâ which went to number 4 and 7, respectively. The singles were included on their debut album, DEPARTURE, released May 29, 2024 which shot to number 2 on the Billboard Top 100 Albums chart.
