Biography
Heights of Abraham, an electronica collaboration from Sheffield and Kingston upon Hull, Yorkshire in North-East England, was formed in 1992 by Steve Cobby, Sim Lister, and Jake Harries. The collaboration began with their releases, Tides EP (1992) and Humidity (1993), both released on the ambient-downtempo label Pork Recordings. In 1995, they released Electric Hush, which was voted one of the Top 20 Dance Albums by Mixmag. The group later formed Twentythree Records with David McSherry and Steve Cobby's Fila Brazillia project. Their subsequent albums include Sportif EP (1994), Scenic Vibe EP (1995), and Two Thousand and Six (2005). In 2013, the band moved to Steel Tiger Records.
