Harem Scarem is a Scottish folk band formed in 2002 by Inge Thomson, Sarah McFadyen, Nuala Kennedy, Eilidh Shaw, and Ross Martin, all experienced musicians from various bands. Their debut album, Let Them Eat Fishcake, was released in 2002, marking their entry into the folk music scene. The band's second album, The Birnam Witch Project, followed in 2005. Harem Scarem collaborated with Alex Neilson on Bonnie 'Prince' Billyâs live album Is It the Sea?, recorded during a 2006 gig at Edinburgh's Queen's Hall. Their third album, Storm in a Teacup, was released in 2008.
