Biography

Babylon A.D. was formed in 1987 in the San Francisco Bay Area, California, by lead vocalist Derek Davis, guitarist Ron Freschi, drummer Jamey Pacheco, bassist Robb Reid, and guitarist Danny De La Rosa. The group debuted with the single "Bang Go the Bells" in 1989, followed by "The Kid Goes Wild" the same year, which appeared on the soundtrack of RoboCop 2. Their self‑titled debut album Babylon A.D. was released in 1989 under Arista Records, featuring tracks such as "Hammer Swings Down". In 1992 the band issued Nothing Sacred, producing singles "Bad Blood" and "So Savage the Heart". After a period of touring and MTV videos, the group signed with Apocalypse Records in 1999 and released the live compilation Live in Your Face. The studio album American Blitzkrieg followed in 2000, while 2006 saw the release of In The Beginning… Persuaders Recordings 8688. After a hiatus, the original lineup regrouped to release the EP Lost Sessions / Fresno, CA 93 in 2014 and the live album LIVE@XXV in 2015. The album Revelation Highway was issued by Frontiers Records on 10 November 2017. In 2023 the band released Live Lightning, and drummer Jamey Pacheco departed the lineup. The band continues to perform with new members Dylan Soto and Craig Pepe.
