Biography

Hangar, a Brazilian progressive metal and power metal band, was formed in November 1997. The initial lineup included Michael Polchowicz on vocals, Cristiano Wortmann on guitar, Felipe Trein on bass, and Aquiles Priester on drums. They began by performing covers but soon transitioned to original material, releasing their debut album Last Time in 1999. Hangar released Inside Your Soul in 2001 and also participated in a Shakespeare-themed project released by Die Hard Records. Their third studio album, The Reason Of Your Conviction, followed in 2007. Throughout their career, the band toured extensively and opened for major acts such as Dream Theater in São Paulo. Hangar’s final live performance took place on December 15, 2018, at Manifesto Bar in São Paulo.
