Biography

Wild Horses was an American hard rock band from New York. The group originally featured Johnny Edwards and James Kottak, who had previously played together in Buster Brown and Montrose. Rick Steier, another member, was a former Kingdom Come bandmate of Kottak's. Wild Horses went through several lineup changes, including two bassists: Chris Lester and Jeff Pilson. Before recording their debut album Bareback in 1991, Johnny Edwards left the band to join Foreigner and was replaced by John Levesque, who sang on both of the band’s official albums. After releasing Bareback, Wild Horses disbanded. Several years later, Rick Steier and James Kottak joined Warrant before reuniting with Wild Horses to release their second album Dead Ahead in 2003.
