The Four Horsemen were an American hard rock band formed in Hollywood, California, in the late 1980s by Welsh-born guitarist Stephen Harris. Their debut release was a self-titled four-track EP in 1989, followed by their first album, Nobody Said It Was Easy, in 1991, which featured the single "Rockin' Is Ma' Business". The band faced challenges, including vocalist Frank C. Starr's drug-related arrests and poor sales due to the rising grunge scene. They released Gettin' Pretty Good... at Barely Gettin' By in 1996 after the death of original drummer Ken "Dimwit" Montgomery. The band disbanded following Starr's death in 1999. In 2005, Harris and Dave Lizmi released Left For Dead, a retrospective compilation featuring archive footage and live performances.
