Halloween, Alaska is a US musical ensemble from Minnesota, formed in 2002. The group consists of James Diers (voice, guitar, keys), Jake Hanson (guitar), Bill Shaw (electric bass guitar), and Dave King (acoustic and electronic drums). Their self-titled debut album was released on December 9, 2003, earning acclaim for its ambient electronic elements combined with moody alt-pop songwriting. The album featured tracks "Des Moines" and "All the Arms Around You," which were included in the Fox television series The O.C. In 2005, Halloween, Alaska released their second album, Too Tall to Hide, and followed it up with Champagne Downtown on April 7, 2009. The band's most recent standard album is Le Centre, self-released in 2018. Throughout their career, the group has collaborated with various Twin Cities artists and released several remix albums.
