Gregory Tyler Davis, also known as Greg Davis, born on November 8, 1975, was an American electronic musician. He began his musical journey with experience in hip-hop groups, jazz combos, free improvisation, and experimental composition before transitioning to computer-based music in 1997. Davis studied classical and jazz guitar alongside composition and jazz studies at DePaul University in Chicago. Davis' early releases included the singles "Clouds As Edges" (2001) and "Split" (2002) with Don Mennerich, which marked his entry into the electronic music scene. His album, Arbor, was released in 2002, followed by a prolific output of albums such as Late Fall (2002), Mort Aux Vaches (2003), and Cottonwood, Arizona (2004). Throughout his career, Davis continued to release numerous albums, including Sound Wheel (2007) and Northern Songs (2009), often incorporating a variety of instruments and field recordings processed through digital manipulation. In 2017, he opened Autumn Records in Winooski, VT, further contributing to the electronic music community.
