Biography
Grace Pool was an American alternative rock, indie folk, and synth-pop band formed in 1987, with Elly Brown and Bob Riley as its core members. The duo met while performing with South, a music project featuring guitarist Lonnie Mack. After South disbanded following the death of the band's founder, Brown and Riley continued their musical collaboration, eventually forming Grace Pool. They released their self-titled debut album Grace Pool (1988) under Reprise Records, which featured the songs "Awake With the Rain" and "Stay", a cover of a song by The Blue Nile. The band's second album Where We Live was released in 1990, marking a shift in production duties to Riley. Grace Pool disbanded in 1992 after being released from their contract with Warner Bros. Records. Following the band's dissolution, members pursued various musical projects, including solo albums and collaborations with other artists.
