Giles Reaves, an American multi-instrumentalist sound artist and audio engineer who started his career in Nashville's country music scene during the 1980s as an engineer for producer Marshall Montgomery. His breakthrough came when MCA producer Tony Brown signed him after hearing his space music improvisations, leading to the release of Wunjo (1986) on the MCA Master Series. This album received critical acclaim from Electronic Musician magazine and was featured on the U.S. public radio show Hearts of Space. Reaves continued with albums such as Nothing is Lost (1988), Letting Go (1989), and Sea of Glass (1992). The latter peaked at number 11 on the Billboard Top New Age Albums chart and remained on the charts for four months. He also released Kaleida Visions (2001) with the Space for Music team.
