Biography

Fun Fun, an Italian Hi-NRG music duo, was founded in 1983 by producers Dario Raimondi and Alvaro Ugolini. The formation was a studio project in which various female singers and models work together to produce energetic, electronic dance music that was stylistically located between Italo disco, synthpop and Hi-NRG. The vocalists included Ivana Spagna, Antonella Pepe and Angela Parisi, who sang in the studio, while visual representatives Francesca Merola, Roberta Servelli and Elena Trastulli took on the role of band members in performances and video productions. Over the years, the line-up in the studio and visually changed several times. The band established itself with the debut single release "Happy Station" (1983). This was followed by further singles such as "Colour My Love" (1984), "Give Me Your Love" (1985), "Living in Japan" (1985) and "Baila Bolero" (1986). 1984 also saw the release of the first album Have Fun!. A second album, Double Fun, followed in 1987.
