Biography

Canadian Hi-NRG, disco music, and dance-pop act Lime was formed in Montreal in 1980 by the husband-and-wife duo of Denis and Denyse LePage. After the success of Denis Le Page's instrumental single "The Breaks," released in 1979 under the name Kat Mandu, the group made its debut in 1981 with the LP Your Love. The album enjoyed great popularity in the US, where the title track achieved gold status after topping Billboard's disco charts. Preceded by the Top 10 dance single "Babe We're Gonna Love Tonight," a second full-length titled Lime II appeared in 1982. A year later, they scored another hit with "Angel Eyes," included in their 1983 album Lime 3. Following the release of 1984's Sensual Sensation, Lime returned in 1985 with their fifth album Unexpected Lovers, whose title track peaked at Number 6 on Billboard's Dance Club Songs chart. Even though they divorced in 1989, Denis and Denyse LePage continued to work together until 1996. Love Fury, the project's first album without Denyse LePage, came out in 2002 and featured guest vocals from Amber Star Chaboyer, Benedict Ouiment, Chubby Tavares, Julie Courchesne, Marie-Piere Vaillancourt, and Mary Lassard.
