Freeze the Atlantic, an English alternative rock band based in Farnborough, Hampshire, was formed in late 2008 by Guy Davis, Jon Pearce, and Andy Gilmour. The group's name is derived from a song by Cable. After recruiting Tom Stevens as second guitarist and Daniel Flay as vocalist, they released their debut EP Colour By Numbers on Alcopop! Records in 2011. Following lineup changes, including the addition of Liv Puente on vocals in late 2012, Freeze the Atlantic released their first full-length album, Speakeasy, in 2012. Their second studio album, self-titled Freeze the Atlantic, was released in 2014 to positive reviews. The band's third and final album, The People Are Revolting, was released in 2017. Freeze the Atlantic announced their split in September 2018 and played their final gig on October 20, 2018, marking their 10-year anniversary.
