Biography

Frantique was an American disco group formed in 1979, signing with Philadelphia International Records, a label known for its influential role in the disco genre. Consisting of Tricia LynnCheyenne, Florence Raynor, and Denise Roselle, the group's music was characterized by its infectious rhythms and catchy melodies, which resonated with audiences during the late 1970s and early 1980s disco era. The band released their debut single "Disco Dancer" and followed it with their self-titled album Frantique. Their breakthrough came with the release of "Strut Your Funky Stuff" in August 1979, which charted on the UK Singles Chart, peaking at number 10 in September of the same year. The group continued to release music, including the 1980 single "Sensual You All." Frantique disbanded in 1980, leaving behind a notable discography that contributed to the vibrant sound of the disco movement.
