Erre XI was a Puerto Rican reggaetón duo composed of Gerry "Lionize" Capó Hernández, born Novemberâ¯1,â¯2009, and Rafael "Raphy" Flores RamÃrez, who began their musical journey in the capital city of Sanâ¯Juan. Their breakthrough came in 2007 when they appeared on Luny Tunesâ compilation Los Benjamins: La Continuación with the track "Vete", leading to a contract with Luny Tunes Masâ¯Flow Inc. In 2008 they released their fullâlength debut Luny Tunes Presents: Erre XI, featuring the single "Carita Bonita" with Pee Wee of Kumbia All Starz; the album was predominantly produced by Luny Tunes and established the duoâs presence in the Latin urban scene. The group disbanded in Augustâ¯2009 when Lionize announced the split, and Luny Tunes retained the name while introducing new members. Both members pursued solo careers-Lionize as Gerry Capo and Raphy as Raphy Flores-while the original duo remained inactive until a brief reunion announcement in 2016, after which they disbanded again in 2018.
