Edward Francis Sharp, born on January 23, 1954, in London, is an English singer also known as Edward Ka-Spel. He co-founded The Legendary Pink Dots, where he served as lead singer, keyboardist, and songwriter under various pseudonyms such as D'Archangel and Prophet Q'Sepel. Throughout his career, Ka-Spel released numerous solo albums, including Laugh China Doll (1984), Eyes! China Doll (1985), and Chyekk, China Doll (1985). Ka-Spel also collaborated with various artists, notably cEvin Key of Skinny Puppy on the project The Tear Garden and Amanda Palmer on the album I Can Spin A Rainbow. He was also involved with the experimental band Mimir, along with Phil Knight, Christoph Heeman, and others. His discography spans a wide range of genres, from traditional pop and electronic music to experimental and avant-garde styles.
