DJ Dara, born Darragh Guilfoyle on December 25, 1968, in Brooklyn, New York, is an Irish drummer and electronic music DJ. He began his career as a drummer before transitioning into drum and bass music. His early releases include the single "Schizophrenia" in 1995. DJ Dara's debut album Rinsimus Maximus was released in 1997, followed by Full Circle in 1998, and Halfway Home in 1999. He co-founded Breakbeat Science, a drum & bass record label and store in New York, with DJ DB. Notable albums include From Here to There: A Drum & Bass DJ Mix (2000), Future Perfect (2001), and Further (2002). His later works include Breakbeat Science: Exercise 1 (2003) and The Antidote (2004). DJ Dara is also a member of the drum & bass group Planet of the Drums.
