Biography

AK1200, born Dave Minner in Orlando, Florida, is a DJ and record producer known for his work in jungle and drum and bass music. His career began with a remix of "Somebody" by Flex and Fats in 1993. AK1200 collaborated with Diesel Boy and DJ Dara to create the annual Planet of the Drums tour in 2000. AK1200's debut album Shoot to Kill was co-produced with Rob Playford of Moving Shadow in 2002, marking a significant milestone in his career. Throughout the 1990s and 2000s, he released several influential mixes including Lock & Roll and Prepare for Assault. Notable singles include "The Lycan Revisited / Deja Nu (Mathematics Episode)" and "Juniorâs Tune".
